Joseph Ackah-Blay is a Trainee Associate at Merton & Everett LLP, advising businesses, institutions and individuals on both contentious and transactional matters. His practice covers civil litigation, arbitration, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and commercial drafting.

He has appeared at first instance before the High Court and has served on legal teams in appeals before the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, as well as in proceedings at the Ghana Arbitration Centre. His work also includes drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, company secretarial support for corporate clients (board and general meeting support, resolutions and statutory filings), and representing clients before investigative and regulatory bodies. Joseph comes to practice from a decade in legal and political journalism, including seven years reporting the courts. He hosts NewDay on TV3 and provides legal and political analysis across television and radio. That background underpins a particular strength in legal analysis, written advocacy and client communication, and it equips him to guide clients through matters that carry a public or media dimension.
